Bankside Green Champions, an online platform and app, rewarded members for sustainable actions through ‘green points,’ whether for recycling, using reusable items, or travelling sustainably.
Over the course of 12 months, the top-performing team was awarded £500 to donate to their charity of choice. We congratulate Simon Harrisons Limited, the winning business of the team competition, who topped the leaderboard with the highest average points per person. They chose to donate the £500 to Manna Society, a day centre for homeless people in the London Bridge area.
The program has celebrated many achievements including a collective total of 465,297 points earned by members and 8,103 positive actions recorded.
As a result of these efforts, members saved a total of 30,052 kg of carbon emissions, equivalent to 50 flights from Toronto to London—an outstanding accomplishment.
With 23 businesses participating in the programme, we extend our thanks to everyone for their commitment over the past year in driving both individual and BID-wide sustainability.
