This year, we’ve had to adapt our usual Christmas gift box campaign to make sure that Bankside’s charities don’t miss out on the thousands of gifts we normally deliver at this time of year from local businesses and employees.
We’re partnering with Borough Market so that we can use their Borough elves to help us deliver Christmas food gifts the people who need them.
This means the benefit of your donation is two-fold: you’ll be ensuring the homeless and older, vulnerable members in our neighbourhood receive Christmas treats, while also supporting the small and independent traders at Borough Market.
We’re asking you to donate to our crowdfunding appeal so that we can arrange the orders with Borough Market and then deliver to charities in Bankside and the surrounding areas ahead of Christmas.
Just think of all the coffees lunches and office treats you haven’t splashed out on in Bankside this year? Or why not make it an opportunity to do something together as a team to fundraise your contribution?
The more we raise, the more people who we can spread a little Christmas kindness to this year.
Some of the local organisations we’ll be supporting this year include:
- St Mungo’s Great Guildford Street
- Robes Project
- Lucy Brown House
- Blackfriars Settlement
- Hopton’s Almshouses
- Look Ahead Southwark Bridge Road
As the appeal grows, we’ll be adding more organisations to our delivery lists. With your help, we can support even more people at Christmas this year.
