The Better Bankside governance structure is designed to enable participation and representation from within our community.
Our board of directors is made up of business leaders from Bankside organisations, along with other stakeholders including landowners, resident representatives and public bodies.
The board’s responsibility is to develop the overall strategic vision of the organisation and to orchestrate the resources to achieve that end. The board is the formal structure, board members have Company Director status. The role of the theme groups is design and delivery of the programme.
This model of governance provides opportunities for participation from the membership, ensuring stakeholders are engaged in the co-design of the programme and the diverse pool of participants act as a proxy for the membership.
We are always seeking to strengthen and diversify our network of contributors – if you’d like to get involved with our governance, please get in touch to discuss opportunities ng@betterbankside.co.uk
We have a number of downloadable documents available for our members:
- 2020-2025 Business Plan. We work closely with local businesses and stakeholders to create a programme that benefits the whole neighbourhood.
- 2024 annual billing leaflet. This details how funds have been spent in the previous year and forecast spending for the next financial year.
- Annual report and financial statements (31 March 2023). A copy of Better Bankside’s financial statements for the year ending 31 March 2023
- Procurement policy
