Delivered in partnership with Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) and the Lant & Bittern Streets Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, we'll be working at Lant House, which is one of the projects that BOST supports through its Green Hub programme. The residents there have formed a gardening group to improve and tidy up their area. They are now hoping to take their plans further and to establish more biodiversity and growing areas. Volunteers will help them to achieve this by weeding, digging, mulching, composting, and pruning back overgrown shrubs to prepare the space for new planting. The day starts at 9.30 am and ends at 4.30 pm, with refreshment breaks during the day. Lunch will be provided, and some residents will join for a light lunch and a chance to learn more about the Lant House garden and other projects to improve their estate. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just keen to get stuck in, it’s a great opportunity to support local green spaces, connect with the community, and help Lant Street look its very best.
