Over the past twenty years, we have worked hard to shape our neighbourhood, making Bankside a place where people are proud to work and want to spend time.
Through a programme co-created with Banksiders, we respond inventively to urban challenges and celebrate the differences that define our neighbourhood.
Bankside is London’s Other Side, an area that has experienced constant reinvention. From its earliest days, the area’s location outside the walls of the City made it a natural landing place for outsiders and free thinkers. Better Bankside is a Business Improvement District that does things differently, with a track record of developing imaginative solutions to urban challenges, staying true to Bankside’s spirit of otherness.
We exist to improve the experience of our neighbourhood for everyone.
We achieve this through three strategic areas:

The Bankside BID are covers the area from the riverside in the north to Borough Station and along Great Suffolk Street in the south. It extends to Blackfriars Road and Hatfields in the west, and stretches east beyond Borough High Street to Trinity Street.
