Take part in the Annual Pollinator Count!
Join us and Pollinating London Together as we take part in their annual count of pollinating insects; bees, butterflies, and more, at some of Londonâs most iconic landmarks. This time, weâll be heading to St Paulâs Gardens to continue our shared mission of supporting urban biodiversity.
Dan, our urban gardener, will meet the group outside the Better Bankside offices and walk over together.
Before the event: Please download the FIT Count app to your device and follow the guidance provided. If you have any issues, weâll be happy to help on the day.
At the end of your survey, youâll be asked to select a project, please choose Pollinating London Together.
Itâs a brilliant way to connect with nature, contribute to citizen science, and spend some time outdoors.

Come join us at MALIN+GOETZ for a magical evening of relaxation and rejuvenation. Let the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls wash over you as you unwind and de-stress from the hustle and bustle.
This meditation is led by Rebecca, a Reiki Master and sound healer. Combining energy healing and self-esteem practices, she guides individuals to embrace their authentic selves and achieve personal transformation.
If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or have metal pins you should consult with their healthcare provider before participating in a sound bath, particularly during the first trimester of pregnancy. While many sound baths are gentle and relaxing, some individuals may prefer to avoid certain frequencies or vibrations during pregnancy as a precaution.

[post_content] => Better Bankside have teamed up with Positive Planet to provide Carbon Literacy training for Better You!
Join the Positive Planet team, for an informative and interactive Carbon Literacy Certified training course, a qualification recognised by the United Nations. Carbon Literacy training provides organisations with an awareness of the climate-related costs and impacts of their activities and the ability and motivation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The training is open to any Better Bankside member with the cost covered by Better Bankside.
Is this course right for me?
This course is aimed at Bankside businesses, their employees and anyone looking to increase their awareness of carbon dioxide costs, impacts, and most importantly how to reduce emissions. The course would be especially useful for those people who have a responsibility for sustainability and carbon reduction within their role.
The course will enable you to empower your team to take climate action. The course will also give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to act to reduce your carbon emissions to support your companyâs and the UKs Net Zero target.
Where?
This in-person training event will be held at the Tate Modern, entrance is via the staff entrance on Park Street, SE1 9DZ . There will be opportunities to network about your net zero plans with like-minded businesses from across Bankside.
Whatâs on offer?
Carbon Literate individuals understand how climate change will affect them, both geographically and locally. Individuals who receive Carbon Literacy training typically realise carbon savings of 5-15%.
The aims of the course are:
To gain an understanding of the different greenhouse gases, where they come from and the impact they are having on our climate.
To acquire a sense of urgency about the climate emergency.
To know how you can reduce your carbon footprint.
To understand your role in your companyâs Carbon Reduction Plan and journey to Net Zero.
To empower you to take action and influence others.
The benefits for your business:
Encourages new ideas and efficiencies within the organisation.
Explains the rationale for change and action.
Allows you to build a network of like-minded businesses that can result in future partnerships and collaborations.
Enhanced reputation and profile of organisation.
Improved competitiveness.
This course is the equivalent of 8 hours of CPD training and requires attendees to carry out tasks prior to attending the in-person course. During the course, attendees will need to complete a personal and corporate pledge, which will be submitted to the Carbon Literacy Project for assessment and certification.
More information on how to make your organisation Carbon Literate can be found here.
RefreshmentsÂ
Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day with a light breakfast on arrival and a veggie lunch provided.
