Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is an environmental and volunteering charity working to provide outstanding green spaces and outdoor activities that enhance the health and well-being of urban communities. With volunteers from the community, they care for open spaces and share a love of gardening and the environment. BOST supports local people gardening on their estates, runs Future Gardeners, a horticultural training programme, and hosts a range of youth and sports activities throughout the year at Marlborough Sports Garden and at Living Space in Waterloo.

Some of the local green spaces managed by BOST include Red Cross Garden, Marlborough Sports Garden, Crossbones Garden and Winchester Palace.

Opportunities to get involved

  • Green Team Corporate Workdays are a great way to bring everyone together in an outdoor environment and reinforce your team spirit. Options range from gardening and maintenance days to shorter wellbeing sessions, for small groups or large.  Please note, there is a charge for team workdays, which depends on the group size and duration of the activity.
  • BOST offers several outdoor or indoor meeting spaces, giving the option to add a strategy or business planning session to a Green Team Day
