We have teamed up with three hotels in Bankside to give a green welcome to visitors to the neighbourhood. The Ibis Styles and Novotel on Southwark Bridge Road, and the Mercure Hotel on Southwark Street have all benefitted from the Rolling out the Green Carpet planters, which have been installed at their entrances.
The planters help to increase urban greening within Bankside, in a playful and creative way, provides a green welcome for visitors to the area and reinforces our commitment to improve local environmental quality and to contribute further to the green character of the neighbourhood.
