Climate Network Think-In for Clean Air Day
Bankside is championed for its distinct character and for thinking differently – why should this be any different when it comes to the climate crisis?
For Clean Air Day 2023, we’re hosting our Climate Network Think-In to bring Banksiders together as we explore, learn and share ideas for driving climate action.
We’ll hear a short presentation from each of our speakers with the chance to explore these topics in more depth through a Panel Discussion and Q&A. There will then be an opportunity to share your own ideas and explore opportunities to collaborate with local businesses in our breakout session.
Read on to meet the speakers, view the details for the event and explore the agenda.
Meet the speakers:
Dryden Goodwin, Breathe:2022 artist
- How can art help us to understand the impact air pollution has on our health? Breathe:2022 by Dryden Goodwin is a multifaceted artwork combining over 1,300 new drawings appearing as large-scale still and moving images on sites close to the heavily polluted South Circular Road. Relating to the tragic death of Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah and the growing battle for climate justice, it works with the most impacted communities to connect this global health emergency to the daily lives of local Lewisham residents and activists.
Amandeep Kellay, Portfolio Manager, Impact on Urban Health
- Why is air quality one of the most pressing issues for urban health? Explore the projects going on across Bankside any beyond to improve air quality for all.
Julie Tucker, Air Quality Ambassador, BE Offices
- What does it mean to be an Air Quality Ambassador? Learn how we can all become champions of cleaner air.
