Join us for this breakfast briefing to hear how your business can support local young people to get ready for the world of work.

Bankside Futures is a summer programme for young people aged 16 – 18 years old, designed to get young people ready for the world of work by meeting a range of employers and creating a social action project in their community.

Young people will learn about the world of work through tailored workshops, work experience mornings, networking opportunities and mock interviews! Additionally, in small teams they will use the skills they have developed to create a social action project about something they care about that is affecting Southwark and present this to friends, family, employers and local businesses at the end of the programme.

At this breakfast briefing, you will learn about the different opportunities for your business to get involved this summer, whether that’s running a workshop that shares the skills needed for your business to succeed, providing an insight into your sector and its career pathways, or joining other Banksiders at a speed-networking or mock interview session.  Our partners, Sculpt UK will also provide insights into how to plan and deliver a workshop so that everyone benefits from a great experience this summer.

Bankside Futures will run for two weeks from 1-11 August.  If you would like more information about how your business can get involved, or opportunities to volunteer as an individual, please contact Rachel Nicholson, Responsible Business & Inclusion Manager at Better Bankside: rn@betterbankside.co.uk
