Celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 at this breakfast networking event hosted by the Bankside Women’s Network.
“We all have our purpose, we all have our strengths.” Beyoncé
We’ll be joined by Genelle Aldred, a communications consultant, to explore how confidence and communication are two things that can be the difference between those women who are like the best-kept secrets, and those who are well-recognised and known for what they can do. ‘Tall poppy syndrome’ can make some women not want to be seen as showing off, being too much, or drawing unwanted attention to themselves. It seems that those women who do, are either chopped down or not seen as ‘nice girls’; however they are also the ones that get ahead, change the world and get the opportunities.
Or does it all just seem this way because of how society judges women who are confident and ambitious?
Genelle will explore this topic, how to worry less about the invisible “they”, and learn how to communicate in a way that will help you to celebrate your strengths and purpose. She will also share some practical tips on how to be a confident and effective communicator.
There will also be plenty of time to get to know other women who work in Bankside and foster new connections.
