We are working to create a more sustainable Bankside.
For London Climate Action Week 2023, we launched our Bankside Green Champions scheme! Over 20 Bankside businesses are taking part in this innovative new way to take positive environmental action.
This new programme rewards employees for their sustainable actions through Green Points — whether that is recycling, going veggie, active travel, or growing your own produce or plants. It reminds us that our collective actions do make a difference, and shows the impact of the positive steps that we take.
Every month, the top 2 points-earning members will win a £20 voucher each, as well as the opportunity to win a £500 prize to the top-earning team at the end of the year.
Bankside Green Champions is also a brilliant way to support local businesses and charities. With voucher options for local businesses such as Origin and Mallow and supporting four brilliant charities: Blackfriars Settlement, Plan Zheroes, Manna Society, and Bankside Open Spaces Trust.
Bankside Green Champions supports SMEs across Bankside to better understand and reduce their scope 3 emissions. Businesses are able to track their carbon emissions savings through their employees’ positive actions as well as energy and water savings.
If the pilot is a success, we will roll out the app to the wider membership next year.
