The annual Bankside Christmas Gift Appeal is back for 2023! As in previous years, the appeal will support charities in Bankside that work with people affected by homelessness and our older neighbours.
Donating gifts
We have created online wish lists for each charity supported by the Bankside Christmas gift appeal. Each charity has then chosen items to add to their bespoke wish list, knowing that the people they support will enjoy receiving them as a Christmas gift this year. This makes it easy for you to decide not just what gift items to buy, but also which organisation will benefit from your donation this Christmas.
Spread the word
To make it easy to get your colleagues involved, we’ve got a range of in-office and digital materials to help you spread the word about this year’s Christmas appeal. This includes posters, present boxes to help promote the appeal in your office, as well as Christmas tree decorations to hang around your office to help create some festive cheer and share key information.
We’ll also have digital assets for you to share on your online work channels including posters and intranet images.

Help wrap gift parcels
This year we are bringing back the ever popular gift wrapping volunteer activities. Once we have all the gift items donated, we need your help to wrap the gifts, ready for them to be delivered to the charities in time for their festive parties. The sessions take place on Tuesday to Thursday and run from Tuesday 28 November until Thursday 14 December. These will be available to book in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our social media and this page for more details.
We’re really excited about this year’s appeal, and with your help, we can share some Christmas cheer with people who might otherwise not get presents from anyone else this year.
