Businesses in Bankside, like so many in London, continue to face significant challenges in recruiting the skilled staff they need.
Better Bankside wants to know how we can better support local businesses to meet their needs around recruitment, as well as staff development and retention.
Working in partnership with Team London Bridge and WeAreWaterloo, Better Bankside has commissioned PRD, an independent consultancy based in Bankside, to understand current business challenges in more detail, and to help shape a new and effective service that can help local businesses find, train and keep the skilled staff they need.
To shape the future of recruitment support in Bankside, we are asking businesses to complete a short survey to tell us about their experiences of recruiting, training and retaining staff at the moment.

Completing the survey will only take 5 – 10 minutes, and we recommend someone with a good knowledge of your business and recruitment of staff completes the survey. It includes questions about your organisation, recruitment strategies, development and retention needs, and your expectations of a new service. The survey is open until 12pm on Wednesday 10 January.
To thank you for your time and insight, once you have completed the survey you will be invited to enter into a prize draw to win £100 worth of vouchers for a restaurant of your choice in the SE1 area. You will also be invited to participate in focus groups to explore these issues in more depth, which will take place in January.
Better Bankside previously operated a free recruitment service, EmploySE1, in partnership with Team London Bridge and WeAreWaterloo. This research is a joint initiative between the three BIDs, exploring new opportunities for collaboration and partnership working to better support their members with their staffing needs.
