Simpler Recycling legislation came into force on 1 April 2025. It’s part of a larger initiative towards a more sustainable culture through boosting recycling and reducing waste.
All businesses with over 10 employees will need to arrange for the collection of the following:
- Dry recyclable materials – including plastic, metal, glass, and paper and card
- Food waste
- Residual (non-recyclable) waste
Please be aware that recycling food waste is now mandatory so from 1st April, disposing of food waste in general waste will be against the law.
