Green welcome boosts biodiversity on Bankside streets

Better Bankside has delivered a suite of colourful planters to give a green welcome to people visiting Bankside.

Situated outside the entrances of the Ibis Styles, Novotel London Bridge, both on Southwark Bridge Road, and the Mercure London Bridge that fronts on to Southwark Street, the project helps to increase urban greening within Bankside, in a playful and creative way.  It also provides a green welcome for visitors to the area and reinforces our commitment to improve local environmental quality and to contribute further to the green character of the neighbourhood.

The planters were designed by UBU Design who have also designed Better Bankside’s #BetterAir living letters which are situated on Tabard Street.
