Since launching the Southwark Climate Collective back in October 2023, Better Bankside and partners have been busy working with SMEs across the borough of Southwark, and can today announce that all 160 businesses are now signed up to take part in this pioneering initiative in 2024, which is a huge milestone for the project.

The Southwark Climate Collective will provide free, expert decarbonisation support for 160 businesses to reduce carbon emissions, increase efficiency and cut costs.

The Southwark Climate Collective champions a neighbourhood approach to net zero, creating opportunities to learn from one another and celebrate local business. From ballet schools to bakeries, from construction to consulting, from pubs to publishers – there is an amazing community of businesses from all over Southwark getting started on their sustainability journey.

Our technical support is well underway with Southwark Cathedral receiving their energy audit this week alongside Resonance FM, Christian Medical Fellowship and London Bubble Theatre Company.

We’ve got a packed programme coming up in 2024 starting with our Welcome Event in March and first round of trainings.

Find out more about the programme on the website and check out some of our case studies!
