The Bankside Christmas Gift Appeal is back for 2024 and we need your help to wrap all of the presents so that they are ready for delivery to local hostels, charities, and community organisations in time for their Christmas celebrations.
This year’s appeal will be helping 1000 people who are dealing with homelessness, struggling with their mental health, and our older neighbours in Bankside receive Christmas presents this year.
Join one of our volunteering sessions to help wrap the gifts donated by Bankside businesses. You can register for one of two sessions throughout the day:
12.30pm – 2.00pm
3.00pm – 5.00pm
All items will be provided, including scissors, tape, wrapping paper and of course the present items to be wrapped.
The sessions will be held at Arch 23 (entrance via Flat Iron Square), 45 Southwark Street, London, SE1 9HP
If you’re registering as a team, you can book a maximum of eight places at each session. If you’d like to sign up a larger group, please contact kv@betterbankside.co.uk first. If the session you’d like to attend is already fully booked, please add your name to the waiting list and we’ll let you know if any slots become available.
We also need your help to make sure we have enough gifts for every local charity. Click here to see what each charity needs and purchase the items you want to donate. Everybody’s generous donations will be delivered, ready for wrapping at these volunteer sessions. You might even end up wrapping what you’ve bought! Thank you for your support, with your help, we can share some Christmas cheer with people who might otherwise not get presents from anyone else this year.
